Xavier Aragay

Director Reimagine Education Lab

    Director Reimagine Education Lab

    International expert and transformation consultant in institutions and in leadership for change. It is specialized in the change of education through the accompaniment of disruptive innovation processes, through its own methodology, original and contrasted. Senior consultant and speaker, offers a new vision of person-centered education.

    He has more than 25 years of experience in leadership and management of the education sector, and is currently a member of the Advisory Council of HundrED, the Educational Innovation organization founded by the Finnish Saku Tuominen, and the Ampans Foundation.

    He has been CEO of the Fundación Jesuitas Educación, a network of schools that serves 13,500 students with more than 1350 educators. There he designed, promoted and led the Horizon 2020 project, a process of systemic and disruptive change of education through the implementation of a new teaching-learning process, based on the profound transformation of people

    He is the director and author of Transformando la Educación collection, a set of 9 notebooks that present, reflect, explain and evaluate the educational change he has made.

    He has been manager of the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO), a pioneer institution in the world in cancer research; founder and manager-director of the Universidad Oberta de Cataluña (UOC), the first virtual university in the world, entirely created on the internet. He was previously Deputy to the Manager of the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (UPC). He has a degree in Economics from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona and has master’s and postgraduate studies at EDADE, IESE and UPF. He collaborates with several university institutions.

    Currently, he is promoting the Reimagine Education Lab, a new constitution team with practical experience and a vision of change, which aims to accompany, promote and put into practice processes and experiences of disruptive innovation in educational institutions using own, original and contrasted reimagining models of education.
