El Proyecto 2021 coordina las unidades que ayudan a crear, implementar y evaluar nuevos métodos de enseñanza y aprendizaje a través del trabajo con los profesores, departamentos y universidades. Pennebaker es autor y editor de 9 libros y aproximadamente 250 artículos, además, ha recibido numerosos premios y distinciones, entre ellos Regents Centennial Professor of Liberal Arts.
